MISSION & VISION

Our mission is to advance the knowledge, skills and abilities of HR professionals by providing access to a variety of diverse learning experiences and opportunities to build professional competencies that will improve their effectiveness as HR leaders. We're committed to promoting the HR profession and the competencies of all HR professionals in the South Central Indiana area. Our vision is to cultivate a community of HR professionals elevating the HR profession and developing HR leaders of the future.

MEMBERSHIP

The South Central Indiana HR Association (SCIHRA) offers membership to individuals with a professional interest in HR, with two levels available: Gold for professionals and Student for those in academic programs. Membership applications can be completed conveniently online.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

SCIHRA encourages members to pursue professional development by seeking certification through the HR Certification Institute, specifically the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) exams. Additionally, members have opportunities to engage in educational programs, networking events, and take active roles in initiatives like serving on the SCIHRA Board of Directors to develop within the local HR community.

MONTHLY PROGRAMMING

SCIHRA holds monthly luncheon meetings on the second Wednesday of each month at 11:30 AM, offering a platform for learning, networking, and engagement. Members are also encouraged to check the Events page for upcoming programs, book club meetings, and other networking opportunities.

STUDENT CHAPTER

SCIHRA strongly supports local SHRM student chapters and encourages students to become members or participate in programs and events to benefit from the experience of current HR leaders.

JOB SERVICES

The association also provides job services by maintaining a job board with HR-related job opportunities. Members receive notifications about new listings via email to assist in career development.
